History of Tobacco

Tobacco is a plant that grows in North and South America. It is  a very deadly plant. The seed of this  plant is extremely small.  A 1 ounce sample contains about 300,000 seeds!

As early as 1 B.C., American Indians began using tobacco in many different ways, such as in religious and medicinal practices. This was used to dress wounds, as well as a pain killer. Chewing tobacco can  relieve the pain of a toothache.

Use Of Tobacco Dangerous To Health


One of the most obnoxious thing that one can come across in life is smoking. Tobacco contains nicotine which is the kind of poison.

When a person smokes a cigarette or biri, he actually infuses the poisonous nicotine into his lungs which will certainly produce its detrimental effect sooner or later.

Even passive smoking is when a person smokes some of the fumes of tobacco containing the pernicious nicotine get in.When a person smokes some of the fumes of tobacco containing the pernicious nicotine get in held by the person who actually is not smoking.

This is called passive smoking.Thus are smoker’s child are also always in danger of falling a victim to one or the other lung or throat ailment.

Tobacco Harmful Effects

A smoker can suffer from lung infection resulting in asthma, bronchitis and even lung cancer.This is particularly case with the so-called “chain-smokers”.

Smoking  is a bad habit and once it is formed like all bad habits,it can’t be got rid of easily show the best thing is that such a bad habit should not be started at all.

If however a person has started it somehow he should consult some expert medical advisor to get rid of it at the earliest.

Steps Taken To Control Tobacco Use

It is a pity that not only boys but also girls and not only the older middle aged but also the young people fall a prey to it.We should be thankful to the supreme Court that has banned smoking at all public places,in educational institutes, offices, hospitals etc. We should however ensure that the supreme court orders are carried out in letter and spirit.
